Takealot, where is my parcel? You guys are liars. How can u say on your app that the recipient was not available to take delivery? When I even missed work today just so that I could be home and receive my parcel. I even paid extra for express delivery. No calls, no message, yet u said I was not available? Why are u lying? If your guys couldn't make it u could have just said it and apologize and give me back the express fee. Now, tell me, where is my parcel? My order #128452015
For your own information, I have encountered this in almost all my orders. Why? This company is messed up, u can't trust their delivery team at all.
And I'm calling and calling , these people are not picking my calls. What do I do?

Bought a battery online on the 29 April 2023. Delivery is suppose to be tomorrow. Today they cancelled my order with no explanation and no money back yet. Now I have had to buy a more expensive battery and drive around town. I will never buy anything from these people again. !!!!!!!!!

They have a bad website response and a bad returns service in fact it does not work.Their email response is also poor and have no phone contact that works.

I am made a order on the 25th I was told that my order will be delivered on the 27th . On that day it wasn't delivered coz the driver didn't read the address right. I rescheduled for today coz I'll be home all day. Dan nothing when I check my is still pending. I called them but the call centre guys says it is on its way that was around 17h30. Now it's 19h111 still nothing. I am very disappointed. I am a first time client but already dissatisfied about it. I need to know how you guy conduct your business. "I placed a next day delivery order on…"
I placed a next day delivery order on Takealot, my order did not arrive on the day it was scheduled to arrive. When I checked the app to track the order I was informed that I, the recipient was not available to receive my order...
I was home all day. I did not receive any form of communication from them concerning my delivery.
Today the app informed that my order has been cancelled, again I the receiver am apparently not available for delivery, and my order has been cancelled.... Terrible, terrible business etiquette! Complete waste of time!

"I have bought a product from Takealot…"
I have bought a product from Takealot on December and the product did work, but after a few months it starts to give problems. Did phone Tagalog and the person said there is a warranty on it for v12 months, I must send it in. Did do so. Now, takealot says it must have been sent back 7 days after I received the product. They do not listen when I say it was not faulty when I received the product, but only after it. Does not matter what I am telling them, always the 7-day thing. So what is the use to buy from them if they even cannot use the warranty on the product. If I bought something from Game and after a few months it stops working, taking it back, and they send it in to see what is the problem, if they found it is faulty, they replace the item. Come on takealot stop with your 7 days policy and use the warranty on the product

After reading all the negative reviews I was fearful of placing an order.
When I saw the price of the 2 plate gas stove, I decided to give it a chance.
Within 2 days my stove and gas bottle arrived, on the South Coast, and were exactly what I ordered
So just like my previous 2 purchases a trouble free buying experience

Takealot sold me an edible product that has expired by four months. There was an attempt made to wipe off the expiry date using rubbing alcohol by either the supplier or someone working there however that failed since it was barely visible. When I logged on to my app to log in a return it reported that the product is "non-refundable". Someone there knows something and customers are being deceived and sold products that could cause them possible harm. I'm disgusted by them.

"Worst customer service I have ever experienced 😡"
They have the poorest customer service I've experienced with no manager on duty to speak to. They don't value their customers. No accountability for their poor service. I purchased suitcases which I received damaged. They collected it and was suppose to replace it. 4 days after return I'm advised they no longer have the product I ordered. I then reorder a more expensive set and pay the difference for delivery the next day. They confirm delivery only to cancel it at 3pm the afternoon advising me once again the suitcases have been damaged yet again. Spoke to 5 if not more consultants who made a bunch of empty promises. No manager to attend to my query which has now been escalated. I'm once again offered a credit to use towards my next purchase. This is a week of going back and forth for items I paid for. I informed them that I needed the suitcases by the end of week as my son was due to fly Saturday. I had to change flight dates as I never received order for which I paid. It's laughable that they actually expected me to make another purchase of the way I was treated. BTW...I'm still waiting on the consultants and any manager to make reply to my numerous calls and emails.

I have been ordering from Takealot for the past seven years and can only praise them on their customer service, availability of products, quality of products and especially on their very fast delivery. Their drivers are always polite, happy and very helpful. Thank you Takealot I think you have the best service of any online company in South Africa, in fact my experience is that your service exceeds that of Amazon in the United Kingdom. Keep up the good work.
