"Refund took way too long"
I had to wait much longer than expected for my refund and it got frustrating. I reached out to support a few times but the replies were really vague and didn’t give me a clear answer on when I’d actually get my money back.

"Refund took way too long"
I ordered something from takealot and ended up returning it because it wasn’t really what I expected. The pickup part was actually fine, no issues there. But the refund took much longer than I thought it would, and I kept having to check my account without getting any clear updates. It kind of felt like once they had the item back, the whole refund delay became my problem to follow up on. I did eventually get the money back, but the wait was frustrating. For such a big site, I really think refunds should be handled a lot faster...

"Pretty easy to use overall"
I usually manage to find what I’m looking for on takealot, and the stock updates are generally quite accurate. Every now and then something shows as available and then sells out quickly, which can be a bit annoying, but it doesn’t happen all the time. Overall, it’s a good experience and easy to check what’s in stock.

Ordered a few things from takealot the packaging was great. The box arrived in good shape, nothing was damaged, and everything inside was wrapped properly. Even the smaller items were packed neatly, so nothing got scratched or broken. There was just something about it that made it feel like everything was handled with care. No complaints from my side, I’m happy with it

I logged a warranty issue i’ve just been bounced around for weeks and weeks. I keep getting the same copy-paste replies, no proper answer, no clear update, and I’m still stuck with the faulty item. Really, really not okay for something I bought on takealot.

I had an issue with my order and reached out to Takealot.com support, but it felt like I was just getting the same copy-paste replies over and over. They never really answered my actual question, and it didn’t seem like anyone was properly trying to help. Not saying it’s a scam, but when something takes this long and still isn’t sorted, it really makes you lose trust. Super frustrating experience

"Decent deals sometimes, but not always as great as they look"
I mostly use Takealot when there’s a promo or discount code floating around. To be fair, I have found some really good bargains, especially on smaller items and the daily deals. But there are also times where the “sale” price doesn’t feel much different from the normal price, which is a bit disappointing. Some discounts only appear at checkout or come with odd conditions too, so that can be annoying. Still, the delivery has usually been fine for me, and I do manage to save a bit here and there. It’s not bad overall, I just wish the pricing was a little more upfront

Had a really smooth order with takealot this week. The courier messaged me early and then called again when he was nearby, so I wasn’t sitting around wondering all day. He was friendly and quick at the gate, which I appreciated. It just makes a big difference when it goes like that. Easy delivery, no stress at all. 5 stars from me.

The overall experience was fine, but the payment step took longer than I expected. I remember sitting there watching the little loading circle spin for what felt like ages, and I kept checking if I’d missed a button or if the page had frozen. "Works okay, but not as smooth as they make it sound"
Most of my payments have gone through without any issues, but one got stuck for hours, which was really frustrating. They make it seem like everything is quick and seamless, but that wasn’t my experience. Support did eventually help, so I’ll give them that, but it was still more annoying than it should’ve been

"Wrong item, slow fix"
I got the wrong item delivered and put in a complaint the same day. The replies took a while, and I had to explain what happened more than once, which got annoying. They did eventually collect it and refund me, so it worked out in the end, but it felt like I had to do way too much chasing to get it sorted.

The specs and pictures didn’t really line up with the actual item, which was frustrating. Just wanted to say the driver was polite, showed up on time, and handled my parcel carefully. I know deliveries can be hit or miss, so if anyone’s worried about their package being rushed or thrown around, that definitely wasn’t my experience here
